Project Description
We began to implement the project in 2022, with a family of immigrants who arrived from the mountains in the 80s to cultivate the land and improve their quality of life. Since the 80s, the family has been dedicated to growing coffee, cocoa and take-out bread products and the project is an opportunity to venture into tree cultivation.
Stakeholders and local communities involved in the project
The interested parties of the project are the producers organized in the producers committee of Santa Rosa de Huayalí, the local companies that acquire products from the forest, the NGOs that operate in the area and the communal and district authorities and the grassroots social organizations (OSB ) from the farmhouse
Project Goals
Increase forest cover in the project intervention area, livelihoods for the family, habitats for endemic fauna, food and supplies for crafts, improve connectivity in forest patches.
