Project Description
Amrit Mahal Community Forest is a native, biodiverse afforestation initiative in Chitradurga district, Karnataka, India. The project will plant and maintain 20,000 saplings of 24 different species on community lands with the objective to improve ecosystem services in the region and benefit the local communities through increased carbon sequestration, water retention, cleaner air and local employment generation.
