Project Description
Once with rich orchards yielding succulent oranges, lemons, and mangos, our community now faces the dire consequences of human-induced land degradation and climate change. In response, we embark on a journey of regeneration and renewal, guided by the principles of agroforestry.
Stakeholders and local communities involved in the project
Local communities, farmers, environmental organizations, and governmental bodies are stakeholders, with local communities actively engaged in project planning, implementation, and decision-making processes to ensure their needs and perspectives are integrated.
Project Goals
Our project aims to empower farmers through agroforestry training, restoring depleted lands, and mitigating the impacts of climate change. By fostering sustainable agricultural practices, we strive to create resilient communities and a greener future for generations to come.
Co-benefits
The expected benefits include enhanced biodiversity, improved soil health, increased water conservation, and the creation of additional sources of income through sustainable agroforestry practices such as fruit and timber production.
