Project Description
The project was established in 2021 using personal savings and is aimed at conservation of existing forest and enhanced biodiversity which will contribute to a sustainable environment and combat effects of climate change.
Stakeholders and local communities involved in the project
The key stakeholders include Mr. Mutabazi Stanislus-the project founder, Ms. Nuwera Jennifer-a partner and supervisor, the local community leaders who provide advise on project implementation and the community members at large.
The local communities are involved in project maintenance through provision of labor and security.
Project Goals
To ensure environmental sustainability and climate change mitigation through conservation of existing forest.
Co-benefits
The project will soon integrate bee keeping which will provides honey to the surrounding communities. Bees also play a big role in natural processes like pollination hence there will be increased food yields in the area.
Additionally, the forest provides local herbal remedies to the the surrounding communities.
